Swine flu- okay, I hate admit it, but its getting to me…?
My son just happens to be sick right now, running a really high fever, is extremely tired, lack of appetite. I took him to the pediatrician (well the nurse practitioner) who agreed with me that its probably roseola, a normal childhood virus. But all this stupid hype with the swine flu has me getting paranoid. I NEVER buy into this crap, but the fact that my son is already sick makes me really nervous. Even if that isn’t what he has (which I doubt that it is) I worry that he may be more susceptible to it. On the news they keep saying there’s more local cases popping up, 4 within 15-20 mins from where I am. I also am taking college courses and hate the idea of being shoved into small classes with big groups of people. I know about the hand washing and unfortunately its the last week of school, so avoiding people is just not an option. Please someone ease my worries. Go ahead and tell me I’m nuts! Anyone else in this same predicament would help. Like I said, I NEVER usually buy into this crap… this time they got me….

I am worried as well. I have 3 sons-one who catches everything in the air-the and 1 who is only 3. I worry because people are stupid. They don’t wash their hands like they should and when they do-they don’t wash them right. People are stupid because they go to work, school. the store sick and don’t care if they cough all over the place. I worry because there is nothing to help this strain of flu just yet. Hopefully cases are minor here in the states and it only lasts so long. We can hope and pray. I watch and read about the new cases everyday. It is scary. Our schools need to have our kids wear face masks to school just like they did in Japan. I would ask your doctor to run a blood test to assure you he is ok.
