My youngest 13 months just a couple weeks ago. I had to cancel her 12 mo shots. As for soothing. Its kinda like Teething. Just grin and bear it. Her rash lasted just 3 days and i didn't even notice her any more fussy than usual but thats probably due to the Teething for the past so many months.
